Design Process
When auditing the ecommerce's website, I began by understanding the primary customer and their journey, focusing on how they interact with the site from discovery to purchase. I examined key usability factors across several webpages, including the information architecture, ensuring that the navigation was intuitive and user-friendly. Throughout the process, I identified potential technical constraints the business owner might face when implementing changes, such as limited development resources or platform restrictions. These considerations were factored into my recommendations, particularly when assessing the landing page and other critical pages, to ensure that any improvements could be realistically achieved within these limitations.
After completing the usability audit, I followed up by creating a wireframe and mockup for the landing page. This step involved visualising the improved structure and layout, ensuring the design addressed both user needs and the identified technical constraints. The wireframe helped map out the key sections and content flow, while the mockup provided a more detailed representation of the final design, incorporating branding elements and a cohesive user experience that aligns with the customer journey and business goals.
